Paul was excellent in all aspects of photographing our day. We felt confident leading up to the wedding that he understood what we were going for and on the day he was brilliant - the right mixture of fun and just cracking on with things. He was a big part of our day making us feel so relaxed and a real hit with our guests.
Paul captured so many moments that we missed and we got to see so much more of our day through the photos.
If you're looking for someone reliable and experienced who will be fun on the day and deliver you wonderful photos that you'll keep forever, then Paul is the man for you.

Just a little note to say a very big thank you for all you did on our Wedding Day, September 19th. We really did appreciate it. We were both very impressed with all your work and everyone has commented on how good the photos have turned out. You made everyone feel relaxed and happy, especially during the normal boring session of photos, you certainly turned on the comedy. Which was very appreciated, every one was laughing it was great fun. It made the day.
The photos are superb. You caught some very special moments which we can both enjoy for the rest of our lives. Everyone that has seen the photos have said that there are the best wedding photos they have ever seen, the setting, exact positioning and of courser the cuffs. We keep telling everyone that the photos were only good because we were only good because we were in them, but somehow they weren’t convinced!
Many thanks again Paul
Best of Luck

Becky and OmarIn 1984 I went to work for the top wedding and social photographer, Ken Bray in his studio North-east London studio undertaking mainly portraits and weddings. Ken Bray was a very keen member of the British Institute of Professional Photographers (BIPP), and was awarded Presidency of the Institute in 1986. Due to his involvement with the institute he was very insistent on high standards, so training was intensive. In his eyes there was no excuse for sloppy composition or a lack of care when it came to taking a photograph of someone, whether it be a six-month-old baby or a beautiful bride on her wedding day.
At the studio there were a wide variety of clients and we all had to maintain the high standards that he set. We all had to be fully trained before we were allowed to undertake any photography, from an industrial or commercial shoot to Investiture Photography at Buckingham Palace. He was also insistent that all his photographers were qualified and therefore in 1988 I qualified as a Licentiate with the BIPP.
In 1989, moving near to home, I joined Chapel Studios in Berkhamsted. Chapel was mainly a commercial studio, but due to my social photography background I was given all the social assignments. Along with weddings and portraits, Chapel’s clients were varied and interesting. From Guide Dogs for the Blind, to various TV promotion companies.
In 2000 I set up my own businesses, Paul Hayman Photography specialising in commercial photography and Acara Photography incorporating weddings and portraiture.
Both businesses aimed to promote quality photography at affordable prices. With weddings being commissioned by clients from all over the country and commercial work including business portraits and product photography.
I have a natural and relaxed style along with a fun approach to photography, which has always proved to be popular with clients and helps to put people at ease.
I think photography should be fun while creating those images that your client will want to look at it every day. Capturing a moment in time - a photo of you or your family or a wedding photo you should never get tired of looking at. A great image will always be great whether it was taken yesterday or several years ago! It should always bring back fond memories.
Photography should always be fun - Paul
